Jessica Heady is a PhD Linguistics student and Research Assistant in the MELD Lab. She is also the Project Coordinator for the Reanimating African American Oral Histories of the Gulf South (RGS) project, which studies morphosyntactic features in African American Language (AAL) from the archives of the Samuel Proctor Oral History Program and aims to publicize these oral history transcripts on a website designed as a primary resource for K-12 students and educators. Jessica has academic interests in morphology, syntax, corpus linguistics, and computational linguistics.
