Asst. Prof. Matthew Simmons is a University Professor in United States History with specializations in oral history, agrarian social movements, and labor and race in the twentieth century American South in the Department of History, Emmanuel University in Franklin Springs, Georgia.
He received his Ph.D. in History from the University of Florida in 2019 under the mentorship of Prof. Paul Ortiz. He also holds an M.A. in History from the University of Tulsa and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of North Carolina-Charlotte.
